VISEGRAD FILM HUB
12/07/2019

BEAST International Film Festival aims on increasing the awareness and knowledge of Central and East European cultural identity in Portugal with a focus on contemporary audiovisual production and technology. This way, BEAST IFF together with the International Visegrad Fund organised in 2018 the first “Visegrad Film Hub” (VFH) in Porto, giving visibility to the V4 countries through the partnership with four other film festivals from the region in a mix of retrospective and contemporary with “V4 and After: A Film Journey” and the workshops and masterclasses in “V4 Academy”.

In 2019, BEAST IFF wants to bring again to Porto the new audiovisual talents from the V4 countries, in a continuation of the work to promote the cultural diversity of the V4 and the intercultural dialogue across Europe. Between the 28th September and 6th of October, BEAST IFF brings the second edition of the Visegrad Film Hub with “V4 Screening | New Talents” and a series of workshops and masterclasses focused on new media and audiovisual technologies with V4 Academy.
