Taking as starting point her research about the links that the Socialist Republic of Romania established with various countries on the African continent between 1965- 1989, Iolanda Vasile will discuss, extrapolating to other socialist countries in Eastern Europe, how educational exchanges, mainly in cinema, but also in other areas, contributed to the political transitions on the African continent, laying the foundations for the post-colonial transition process.
