This year’s QUEER SHORTS programme is presented in collaboration with the Queer Archives Institute with a selection of films which, through its narrative, and archive research, is ensuring that a visual record of modern queer history has been kept in Central & Eastern Europe. Each film offers a different vision of how queer history has been seen on film and is a pacified representation of the LGBTQIA+ films with the purpose of giving visibility to the work in the region.

This special screening compounds the importance of documentary film and archive investigation as an engaging, accessible historical resource.
