As the third edition of BEAST IFF comes closer, it is time for you to join us! Being a volunteer means being part of an international team, meeting a lot of like-minded cinema passionate people, discovering Eastern European culture, sharing your skills for the common goal: 9 great festival days in Porto. We need you, so we can build a bigger and better festival for everyone.
You can choose exactly how much you want and can be involved, so take a look at your schedule for September-October, check your availability and let us do great stuff together - we welcome everyone!
Take a look at the sections of Volunteering that you can sign up for and choose the ones that fit you best. You can choose up to 3 departaments and you will be assigned to one.
You will meet the festival guests and make sure they have a good experience in our festival. Some of your responsibilities will include: pick-ups, drop-offs and making that our guests needs (accreditation, accommodation, festival guides, etc.) are answered.
You will have to assist the trainers and the participants of the workshops. Past experience with animation/filmmaking is highly appreciated, but not mandatory.
Helping with the setup and maintenance of Festival parallel events, such as Masterclasses, Exhibitions, Q&As, parties. Please note that parties require staying out late.
Assist the team with daily operations, giving accreditations to the festival guests and give information when required. It implies office work and good organizational skills are a plus.
You will provide general information about the festival, flyers and festival programmes to people passing by during the whole period of the festival.
You will be working for the festival communication, that includes from help with video/content editing, photography, merchandise, press communication, press materials, social media, making-of . Some of these activities are in real time so you will have to be always on the move, always informed about the festival events, schedules and possible changes. A witty, people friendly person with good grammar, English and Portuguese skills would be highly appreciated.
You’ll work directly with the public of the festival: checking the tickets for the screenings and keeping track of the accreditation.
Technical support at the venues of the festival. You’ll help with setting up and maintaining certain technical requirements for festival activities. AV knowledge required.
Translating texts English/Portuguese for festival communication online and offline.
