BY. THE CARD WORKSHOP – OPEN CALL FOR PARTICIPANTS
This workshop, led by alumni of the Estonian Academy of Arts, invites you to explore storytelling through the creation and interpretation of arcane cards. Participants will discover various approaches to narrative, both traditional and experimental, fostering creativity and deepening their understanding of storytelling techniques.

Who makes everything possible:
Santiago Ordonez
An MA in Animation and a visual artist with a focus on audiovisual expression. During my undergraduate studies, I created “La silla de la estación,” an animated short film that received several distinctions at international festivals. As an animator, I contributed to projects like “El Intronauta” and “La otra forma.”
I have also been part of animation studios such as Team Toon Studios and Hierro Animación. In 2023, I secured funding for my animated project “It is (Not) Yours,” which is currently in development.
Ya Chuan Chen
A Taiwanese brand project manager with over six years of experience in branding. Currently studying at the Estonian Academy of Arts, specialize in digital interactive displays that combine artistic and interactive
elements. I have also collaborated on various video projects with museums such as the National Palace Museum and the National Museum of Fine Arts.
Formerly a visual designer for commercial videos, now focuses on creating meaningful messages that advocate for environmental issues.
Maya Chaudhary
I am Maya Chaudhary, an experimental multidisciplinary artist currently pursuing a master’s in Animation-Fine Arts at EKA. My focus is on directing an experimental short lm. I began my journey in India with a bachelor’s in Communication Design, working on animation production and post-production.
I co-founded Prime Habiture, an art residency in Rajasthan, and work as a module designer and researcher on a PhD project focused on teaching morals and values to children through indigenous proverbs.
