SYNOPSIS
SINOPSE
Through the prism of absurdity and surrealism, this film covers a fragment of Ukrainian history from 2014 to 2026. The events of the animated film Kyiv Cake unfold in modern Ukraine. A child is born in a poor family, the parents do everything possible to survive, but just when the crisis reaches its peak, a new danger flares up.

Nikita Liskov - started his career in the early 2000s as a classical painter but later worked as a designer in the advertising business. Since 2007, he began to create digital animated films. He works and lives in Dnipro, reflects modern Ukrainian themes in his works, but rethinks them with the help of absurdity and black humor. He also creates non-narrative abstract animation films with minimal use of computer technology. Since 2015, making lectures and animation screenings in Ukraine.
