PERFORMANCE NIGHT
MY DISLOCATED FLESH / performances & fundraise
curated by: MOFO COLLECTIVE
Safety exists only when there is a roof over one’s head when there is a home. When a home is lost, a person becomes vulnerable, displacement erases a chunk of one’s context, and the body becomes the only point of safety. The body is vulnerable, and so is safety.
“We want to bring together artists whose practices are painful, whose works are felt in the gut and perceived through the body.”
MOFO Collective, a performance-focused collective led by Ukrainian queers in Porto, is bringing performance artists together to fundraise for Insight NGO, which provides shelters, legal support for trans people, psychological aid, and broader resources for the LGBTIQ+ community in Ukraine.
